I know that most people aren’t going to love TITANE but I encourage people to see it in the theatre. It is gorgeous and loud and your judgement really deserves to be made in that setting. I went in 100% cold and adored the whole experience.

This thread nails it. Summer of Soul is the film of the year for me so far. An amazing cinematic experience at a theater. Seen twice already. It’ll be on Hulu forever, see in a theater if possible.

Saw Summer of Soul, first of what I’m sure will be many viewings. Excellent in every way. I’m glad people aren’t making the mistake of assuming it is effective just because there’s good footage. This thing is edited like a Fosse picture. Structurally brilliant.

Bronson is a legend youtu.be/ONhA915mkSI

Revisited this recently and it’s just fantastic. Really holds up, Keanu is such a great god damn movie star.

this insanely stacked Cannes lineup has me all excited. Cinema is coming back and this is another step forward. Can’t wait to start showing some (hopefully many) at Cinema 21 when they make their way to US theaters. theplaylist.net/2021-cannes-…

Big thanks to @PureCinemaPod for turning me on to Zulawski’s insane and incredible sci-fi epic ON THE SILVER GLOBE. Was able to track down a copy and this film is fantastic and overwhelming even in its unfinished form.
Just a reminder that both of our episodes on the Cinema of David Lynch as well as our @NeverMadeFilm crossover about his unrealized ‘Ronnie Rocket’ are all available now. That’s almost 10hrs of Lynchian goodness! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

Anyone out there know if ⁦@ShoutFactory⁩ has plans to re-issue #Manhunter on Blu-ray? I’m bummed I missed my chance before it sold out. Can’t find anywhere. Anyone, maybe? shoutfactory.com/product/man…

It’s true that movie is a blast form start to finish.
The problem with watching COMMANDO is what the hell do you watch after that????

Who plays you in your biopic?
I’m 3 episodes in to @GangsOfLondonUS and I’m all in. Super densely plotted, crazy good action scenes and even the over the top performances really work for me. This show is great.

Despite the otherworldly excellence of the brawls and foot chases, Gangs of London is not a “pure action” series, writes @mattzollerseitz vult.re/3umPIg5
