Last night, petrol bombs were thrown at Finchley Reform Synagogue in London. Mercifully, the bottles didn't ignite, and, on this occasion, there was little damage and no injuries, but the evidence of yet more anti-Jewish hatred could not be clearer. We are a resilient community and we will never succumb to fear and intimidation.

Glass bottles dominated for centuries - but that’s changing. Our new report Reshaping the Bottle shows why wine & spirits brands are rethinking packaging. 📈 Glass costs up 70% 🌱 73% of consumers would switch for sustainable packaging 📘 Full report: drive.google.com/file/d/1Kxl…

Oooh look, we've cut our carbon emissions... (no, you've just offshored them FFS).

It is good and right to leave fossil fuels in the ground, rather than turning them into carbon emissions. This is uncontroversial. But to replace them with the same product from other places helps literally nothing. If you are going to use fossil fuels, use the closest source.

If Mandelson really told Starmer he barely knew Epstein, that was an epic whopper of a lie. Here's Mandelson to Epstein in 2009: "You are the only person who knows everything about me. Don't go away". Their relationship only got closer after 2009.
Starmer says that when Mandelson was interrogated about his relationship with Epstein, “the answers he gave were lies. He portrayed Epstein as someone he barely knew”

It's staggering, but in 30 years of using computers No one has managed to manufacture a reliable printer.

.@TheOceanCleanup is now intercepting 2 to 5% of global plastic pollution. I think we should be able to double again this year.

Boyan says this is 1-2% of global plastic emissions. If it were only 1% and they were able to keep growing at this rate, they'd capture all emissions in 8 years.

My favourite @ScottAdamsSays story still has to be when he was asked by @Logitech‘s co-founder, Pierluigi Zappacosta, to pretend to be a consultant – called Ray Mebert, naturally – to lead their exec team into making the dumbest mission statement ever. Demonstrating, perfectly, the dangers of design by committee, they came up with the following: “The New Ventures Mission is to scout profitable growth opportunities in relationships, both internally and externally, in emerging, mission inclusive markets, and explore new paradigms and then filter and communicate and evangelize the findings.” Genius. RIP, Scott.

I’m not a deeply religious person. I spent most of my adult life as an unapologetic agnostic / atheist. Today, I celebrated Advent Eucharist in the morning and Hanukkah in the evening. Solidarity with my Jewish friends now and always.

Five days with broken internet from @TalkTalkBizCare - which, aside from the usual difficulties, also means no phone line into our business and we can’t print anything. Come on TalkTalk, sort it out. This is ridiculous.
