according to OP, all the artists at KBS gayo daechukje were standing on this movable stair prop when the staff suddenly moved the stairs, causing the artists to scream and almost fall off

it’s a genre award. idol songs w/ choreo are referred to as “dance songs”
it has nothing to do with how well the idols performed the choreo, hence why digitals are a part of the the criteria
