Under ongoing Khet Bachao Abhiyan, an awareness and outreach programme was successfully conducted at Shun-Chumik Gyalsa, Sarchu, in Lungnak Valley, Zanskar, Ladakh, by Sub-Divisional Agriculture Office, Department of Agriculture, District Zanskar. The programme aimed to promote awareness regarding protection and productive use of agricultural land. During event, farmers were sensitized about objectives of Khet Bachao Abhiyan, including prevention of agricultural land degradation, adoption of improved cultivation practices, and enhancement of local agricultural productivity. Officials also interacted with farmers and discussed various agricultural schemes and interventions being implemented by Department of Agriculture. To support farming activities in area, a variety of agricultural seeds were distributed among participating farming families.
