Wow. Blast from the past. They participated in my doctoral dissertation. I’m old. And it was the coolest names pto team in the study.
Saw a guy walking into the Garden in a Kentucky Thoroughblades jersey. One of the all-time great minor league hockey team names.

Mental 1. Learn to play in chaos as opposed to trying to find peace when it isn’t available 2. Find ways to stay in the present (breathing, actively listening etc) 3. Visualization isn’t nearly as important as many make it out to be 4. Any type of confidence or feeling you try to conjure up is not sustainable 5. There’s no guarantee in golf. Having high acceptance will make it easier to move on to the next shot

One of my favorite quotes from, leadership consultant, John W. Gardner is, “The first step is not action, it is understanding.” I believe this relates to the below. Without true understanding it is easy to run amok with micromanagement and/or action for action’s sake.
"Some people say CEOs should be careful not to micromanage. What I was focused on is micro-understanding because if you don’t understand the business down to where the rubber meets the road, you [can't] make decisions at the top."

60 years ago, a group of brave civil rights organizers marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama in the pursuit of justice and equality. Today we’re reminded of their courageous sacrifices, and tasked with the responsibility of doing what we can to carry forward their work.

Sean McDonough is doing the USA-Canada game for ABC. Very, very people can handle all 4 major sports so well. Throw in the Olympics. He’s as good as anybody but is still not properly appreciated. Ain’t nobody better.
