pleased to announce that @ai4ug is partnering with @datacamp to provide 200 full-access licenses to DataCamp's learning platform, valid for one year starting August 18, 2025
DataCamp is a global leader in data science and AI education, offering high-quality, self-paced courses designed to equip learners with industry-relevant skills
this partnership aligns with our mission to empower individuals and organizations with AI and data science skills and build AI-driven solutions that address real-world challenges in Uganda
each license will grant recipients unlimited access to DataCamp's entire library of courses for 12 months, managed within a monitored group to ensure accountability and support
the 200 licenses will be distributed among:
- participants from our previous two cohorts to pursue advanced, self-paced learning under our continued guidance
- applicants who were not admitted to our previous or current cohorts, providing them with another pathway to develop their skills
- highly motivated individuals seeking to transition into data and AI careers, with a focus on demonstrated commitment and potential
details on how to apply and benefit from this opportunity will be shared soon

yesterday, one group from our Cohort 2 shared progress on their capstone project: forecasting oil well production and revenue based on market trends
their goal?
to equip energy companies with predictive insights that support smarter, data-driven decisions
they're currently building an LSTM-based time series model and developing a live forecasting dashboard to visualize production and revenue estimates in real time
it's amazing to see learners already tackling real-world industry challenges
this is exactly the kind of impact we're nurturing π
