For #DDay82, we honor Maj. Gen. Pete Quesada & IX Fighter Command. By rigging VHF radios into lead tanks to direct strikes, they crushed the Luftwaffe and secured a 20:1 air edge on June 6, 1944. Their tactical genius saved lives & proved the need for an independent Air Force.
