How progressive is IBD? We set out to answer this by reviewing data from large cohorts, focusing on the development of new EIMs, progression in disease extent/behavior, new perianal disease, surgery and colorectal cancer in both adults and pediatric ‼️The numbers are striking. And progression appears substantially more pronounced in children @charlie_lees @GastroRept
