It's simple really -- the only differentiator in an Ultra phone today is the camera.
Everything else -- performance, battery, software experience, display, and network capabilities -- are exactly the same on most Base, Pro, and Pro Max flagships.
Therefore, when you start trying to defy physics with larger sensors, Ultra phones start becoming bigger, bulkier, and starts evoking "what's even the point" emotion.
And now that the Ultras are priced so high, it becomes difficult to refute why a camera and a base flagship is probably a more sensible choice for most people.
