Photography is the physics of capturing memories. Cameras are engineered equivalents to eyesight. Learn to play with them and you will see things in a brighter way than anyone around you.

It would seem things like USAID & Peace Corps, where we acknowledge our privilege so much we help other countries by meeting them where they are, is preferable to the mindset of conserving a crippling county… but people think litter is a homeless issue…

Everyone should volunteer at a food bank at least once in your lifetime. It’s important to see that world hunger is a distribution problem, not a scarcity issue. Learning there’s enough for everyone and it’s just a matter of making sure it doesn’t spoil changes you.

Reminder for those who need to hear it regarding litter… It is not a uniquely homeless behavior and stems from our collective consumption methods. Oh and 30-40% of litter is used cigarette butts.

So frustrating to not see pushback from the “moderator” No questioning of his core beliefs like whether we should aspire to give all humans access to water and electricity but instead letting him make it sound almost inevitable that intelligence (knowledge) be privatized.
🚨 SAM ALTMAN: “We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter.”

Why is the first thing I witness out my window this morning someone refusing to yield to a pedestrian and their dog in a crosswalk? Like why is it so difficult to hold a hierarchy in our heads? If your commute is more comfortable you need to be more considerate! 🚶‍♂️> 🚴‍♂️>🚎> 🚗

Hot take… if you already commit to picking up your dog’s poop… what’s stopping you from scooping up a few cigarette butts and litter with the same bag? Just saying, a visual reminder only helps an addiction… whether candy wrapper or cig…

Hey what if we kept shared bikes unlocked and only charged people if they wanted to electrify their ride? Feel like it would help both recharge the batteries on board the bikes and would help collect scooters at the bottom of hills. @limebike @lyft

New day, same #ClimateEmergency Save the earth, only drive your car when absolutely necessary… try other methods!
Winter 2025/2026 will go down as the warmest winter in recorded history for the Western United States.

Kinda confused why @Apple hasn’t tried to take back the portable handheld mic business by offering some sort of grip for an AirPod and allowing settings for it to be used for video…

Hey @Apple reminder that you could make “pedestrian directions with transit” the default on your phones… Might make people think about the people they pass while in their 2 ton rolling kinetic missile more often. Just saying.

When people begin to realize that the majority of his ventures are just blowing hot air, then maybe people will insist he pay more taxes.
Thermal drone footage captured by Floodlight shows Elon Musk’s AI power plant flouting clean air regulations, with images confirming xAI is continuing to defy EPA rules in Mississippi to power its flagship data centers. floodlightnews.org/thermal-d…

Imagine spending hours of manual labor leveling off a trail in your local park and putting down grass seed only to wake up to see that someone literally salted the Earth and killed any hope of future growth… Just why?

Critically opened OUTSIDE of city limits so he can avoid certain taxes …. but either way, the Seattle Metro should be on the list for places you should live next! Move here quick because with neighbors like this, the natural beauty may be temporary.

As we work to make housing more affordable, renters across the city need to keep organizing and speaking out. That’s why today we’re launching our Mayoral Renter’s Survey. Take the survey at forms.office.com/g/B1K37QsKt…

Another reminder that school vouchers & “school choice” is welfare for the wealthy. They want to send their kids to private schools on your dime. A true steward of the Department of Education should be improving educational outcomes, not feeding into fragmentation of community!
One state at a time, @POTUS is making school choice a reality for families!

Difficult to see such blatant disregard for fellow Americans by law enforcement. It is, however, inspiring to see how quickly someone will give up their jacket to help care for their neighbors.
I've been sent video from the end of the ICE raid at the Zipps on 32nd and Shea. It shows protesters -- on the sidewalk, impeding no one -- getting drive-by maced by an ICE agent from a truck as it rolls away down the road. Hard to see how such tactics are justifiable.

Seattle is best by bike.
Just got this photo from a friend of mine: #Seahawks legend Marshawn Lynch casually riding a bike en route to Lumen Field for today’s NFC Championship Game. He was seen eating Skittles. 😂

Add a bike lane across the Aurora Bridge and you will see similar beauty connecting north and south Seattle! Food for thought @SDOTtraffic

I wonder if after this fever dream of finding fraud, Republicans recognize that privatization of social services is what opened the door for fraud. When we move away from a public system that can actually be held accountable, to many small private outfits of course this happens.
