Her concerns are valid, but you can accomplish all of this before going into labour naturally. Skill issue. In the month leading up to your due date, make sure you got your regular appointments scheduled.
When I started feeling contractions, the first thing I did was hop into the shower and then blowout my hair. My nails were done because I scheduled regular appointments leading up to my due date. My bags were packed well in advance.
Natural labour doesn’t have to be sold as the suffering and ugly option. It can be just as glamorous.

Adoption is not like in movies where you stride on up to the orphanage and pick out a sad orphan or a talking mouse. It’s typically a very stringent process, and in a world where there’s far more prospective adoptive parents than orphans, it has every right to be.
