We facilitated the release and transfer of 3 hostages out of Gaza to Israel, and 90 Palestinian detainees from Israel to the occupied Palestinian territory. The operation marks the beginning of a multi-phase operation, as agreed by the parties, to bring hostages and detainees home. The International Committee of the Red Cross, as a neutral humanitarian intermediary, facilitates the safe transfer of hostages and detainees. Specialised ICRC staff, including doctors, are on-hand to provide care as needed.

I had the honour to join the World Nomad Games in September, in ‘kusbegilik’ traditional eagle falconry. Wonderful to be a part of this celebration of diverse traditions, to meet other Canadians participating, and to try my best (I came in 7th). All thanks to my trainer Serikbek!

J’ai eu l’honneur de participer aux Jeux nomades mondiaux, dans le cadre de la traditionnelle fauconnerie «kusbegilik». C'était magnifique de voir cette célébration de diverses traditions, et de faire de mon mieux (je suis arrivé 7e). Tout cela grâce à mon entraîneur Serikbek!
