IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: IRS Forensic Investigations (IRS) has been appointed by the family of the deceased, Mpho Kabasia Mafole (pictured), fondly known to his family and friends as “Kabi”, on an investigation watching brief. Mpho was appointed as the chief auditor of the @City_Ekurhuleni on 1 April 2025 after spending 15 years at the @AuditorGen_SA. Mpho was assassinated on 30 June 2025. He was working on several sensitive audits involving procurement by the City of Ekurhuleni. Arrests have been made in the investigation with the most recent court appearance being 2 October 2025, however the facilitators and those ordering the hit still walk free. IRS’s instructions from the family are to liaise with the authorities, as well as to communicate with the media. @SAPoliceService is the lead investigation agency and IRS will render all required assistance and resources wherever possible. It’s a victory forced by the regime trying to rule for another 50 years of poverty and misery. Mozambicans have the ultimate right to resist and fight this bloody regime.
