It's official, I'm a published author!!! 📚
Getting to hold a copy of the book I've been working on since November is a surreal feeling ☺️ Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way ❤️
"Remote Engineering Management" is now available: link.springer.com/book/10.10…

The platforms are actually moving on this.
Zoom launched RTMS which @FellowAInotes uses for Botless zoom recordings.

Better than other Botless experiences because you also get full video and speaker identification.
I got married to my best friend this weekend, and it was the most incredible day ever 🥰
ALT I'm standing in my wedding dress holding my pink/white/green bouquet in front of a fireplace with light shining in on me. I'm smiling because it's so special, and the photo has a light and airy feel to it.
ALT My husband and I are standing outside of the hotel, face to face with our noses touching. We're smiling and very happy because we're about to get married.
ALT The wedding ceremony. We're pausing for people to take pictures before starting. The photo was taken from the end of the aisle, and you can see us smiling at all our friends and family. Behind us is a wall of windows that overlooks Elgin street in Ottawa, it's letting in a lot of natural light.
ALT A photo of our first dance, we're arm in arm. Behind us is the head table with our friends and the hexagonal arch from the ceremony room. Behind it is giant windows, and we're overlooking the Chateau Laurier.
It's been a while since I've had the chance to speak at an in-person event in my home town! Can't wait for this panel hosted by @Invest_Ottawa for International Women's Week on March 6th 😁

@alexandras_dev's best tip for managing distributed teams is to ask more questions than you think you need to.💪
Alexandra will be speaking at Fellow's Engineering Leadership Summit on the panel “Managing Distributed Engineering Teams” at 10:45 am ET.
Excited to share that I will be speaking on a panel on how to manage distributed engineering teams during @Fellowapp Engineering Leadership Summit on Jan 27th.
Would love to see you there! ctt.ec/KND39

There's something about being on a call that allows for more openness and honesty. Just like sitting next to someone and staring in the same direction while having a heart-to-heart.
Love looove @alexandras_dev sitting in the car theory. 🚗
I *loved* this chat with @eisokant and @jasoncwarner! We went deep into topics like the emotional stress of jumping between intense 1on1s (and how remote work makes that easier), and many other remote management topics that aren't typically talked about.
The most important takeaway from my chat with @tazsingh is that "Drinking your own Maple Syrup" is a great alternative to "Dog-fooding your own software" 🇨🇦🥞🍁
🙌🏽 We're back with @alexandras_dev at @jsconfbp!
