While long-overdue, this move by @SenatorTimScott and @BankingGOP on market structure is a massive step forward in providing workable frameworks for crypto, while continuing to protect consumers. Ripple (and I) know firsthand that clarity beats chaos, and this bill’s success is crypto’s success.
We are at the table and will continue to move forward with fair debate. I remain optimistic that issues can be resolved through the mark-up process.
The Senate Banking Committee’s CLARITY Act is the result of more than six months of good-faith, bipartisan negotiations and has benefited from consultation with industry participants, legal and academic experts, and key stakeholders.

The SEC asked for $2B, and the Court reduced their demand by ~94% recognizing that they had overplayed their hand. We respect the Court’s decision and have clarity to continue growing our company.
This is a victory for Ripple, the industry and the rule of law. The SEC’s headwinds against the whole of the XRP community are gone.
