Only 7% of Brits go to private school, yet a @Guardian survey has shown that >1/3rd of leader at Arts Council funded organisations did 😱@lisanandy says ‘if you don’t have [diversity] in the arts … too many people’s stories will be erased’. Let’s hope action / funding follows💷

Well done to all who got the A Level results they wanted. Sadly this is still likely to be those in private schools (50% A or A*) and Grammar schools (41%) - compared to only 17% in state schools. Lifelong disparity starts here. @bphillipsonMP state schools must do better. #class

Commenting in @thetimes (11/8) on her new Netflix series 'The Perfect Couple', TV director Susanne Bier, says 'yes, if you're really wealthy you do get away with a number of things that you really shouldn't.. not just legally, but morally.' Sadly, it was ever thus. #class

The great film Chariots of Fire shows posh runnners competing in the 1924 Paris Olympics. Now, a century later, 1/3 of the GB team are privately educated. Yet 93% of British kids go to state school. @bphillipsonMP @educationgovuk we need a level playing field. Literally. #class

Bravo Anne-Marie Duff for calling out in @SundayTimesApps that theatre ticket prices are 'just not feasible for working class families'. Maybe @lisanandy @DCMS & Bridget Phillips at @educationgovuk can add reintroducing arts to state schools to their 'to do' lists. #CLASS

Comp schools rule, literally! Let's hope the new Government prioritises education to ensure the chasm between state and private schools closes and that state educated school leavers have access to the same opportunities as their privately educated counterparts. #class

Watched @NTLive 100th production. Nye at @derbyquad. Great production and excellent initiative. Well done for bringing previously elite, London centric theatre to cinemas and homes throughout the country & abroad. #class

Saw NTLive's NYE, about Aneurin Bevan, who set up the NHS in 1948. He believed politicians must articulate the wants, the frustrations, the aspirations of the masses. Their hearts must be moved by his words, and so his words must be attuned to their realities. If only! #class

Jonathan Pye shares his opinion about Tories, Royals, NHS, Russians, old people, young people, climate change, private schools, state schools & more. His rants are equally hilarious an terrifying. If you want to have a laugh, check out his few remaining tour dates. #jonathanpie

Loved preview screening of 'This Town' in Birmingham Town Hall tonight. Great new series by Steve Knight, writer of Peaky Blinders. It's set in Birmingham in the 1980s - which is when we lived there. Great soundtrack and cool Q&A afterwards too. Starts on BBC1 on 31/3. #thistown

Do you remember when you joined Twitter? I didn't, but they sent me this reminder. Wow 14 years, where did that go? Now in the troubled teenage years. #MyTwitterAnniversary
