Some of us were warning about this 12 months ago but it all fell on deaf ears. You were all to busy shouting "privilege" at us! Should have been picked up BEFORE Oct 24, too late now as the damage is done and SEN kids ARE being forced out of indy schools teachers losing jobs

School closures & migration from independent to state schools is likely to contain a large ratio of SEND pupils. Many SEND kids are in independent after being failed by state, not because their parents have “broad shoulders”, because they’re desperate & fleeing a broken system.

Yes, private school closures and parents who were shouldering the financial burden of SEND education being priced out by the education tax ARE going to add burden onto state provision. It's already happening.

This has become quite the talking point, but the data shows the "threat" is wildly overblown. Current ground-mounted solar covers just 0.1% of the UK and might reach 0.3% by 2035. That's less than golf courses. By comparison, farming takes up ~56% of UK land.
