It is very interesting to me how many people's very idea of poverty implicitly assumes some amount of antisocial behavior.
Like, no one seriously objects in principle to idea of riding the train or the bus with people who scrape by as cleaning ladies or grocery baggers.
Public transportation highlights the walks of life of different ppl. It also highlights the true inequality and systemic issues of America especially in Black cities. From poverty, lower income, mental health etc. it reminds if you of the reality that we live in.
