I absolutely agree about the term early learning - and one of the key domains of contemporary early childhood where such early learning occurs is Early Childhood Education and Care.

I like it. Learning places agency with the child,keeping the individuality of the child centre stage. It’s an outcome not a process. Along with ‘Care’ it is independent of a specified environment and wonder was the rationale to include Childminders? Just an outside perspective!

Indeed - a critical dimension to safe reopening is access to the environment for preparations alongside clear protocols for staff-staff; staff-parent; staff-child [3-6] and staff-child [birth-3] contacts. Preparation and clear guidance is key!
