For the first time since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began, the United States will provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with intelligence for long-range missile strikes against energy infrastructure inside of Russia, senior officials have told the Wall Street Journal. An order instructing both the Pentagon and intelligence agencies to aid Ukraine with strikes against targets within Russian territory was recently signed by President Donald J. Trump, with U.S. officials asking NATO Allies to provide similar support to Kyiv. In addition, the U.S. is also weighing the delivery of Tomahawk and Barracuda Cruise Missiles, as well as other American-made ground and air-launched missiles that have ranges of around 500 miles to Ukraine, allowing them to potential strike targets in Russia that are as deep as Moscow.
