as of 1/19/2023, it appears Twitter is officially banning all third party applications. Once they stop working, I won't be around much. alpuzz@mastodon.social

I want to thank @CCraneRadio for great customer service! I ordered the incorrect replacement power cable for my radio. I explained the issue and they are sending the correct part at no charge. They're not even asking me to return the incorrect part. Again, awesome service!

Does anyone know if there is a keyboard command in the Twitter web UI to open URLs linked in a tweet?

Hi @grubhub_care, There is a relatively serious a11y issue with the iOS app. As a blind user of Voiceover, I'm finding that the control to sign in with Google is not accessible. just got a new phone and can't sign in. Guess I'll be using another service until this is resolved.

Hi @GrubHub just wanted to share a bad customer service experience. About an hour ago, placed an order at Chipotle for a burrito. After about 40 minutes, got a notification that my order had been canceled because the restaurant was out of an item. TBC

Just noticed a very annoying issue in Windows 11 and Notepad. There is either no more title bar, or screen readers are no longer detecting the title bar. Anyone else seeing this? Can no longer tell which document I'm in if several are open.

For any Voiceover users interested in Chess, check out the Chess studio app. I just bought this. $2.99 and so far, well worth the price. Tons of functionality, and VoiceOver/Accessibility is specifically listed as a feature. apps.apple.com/us/app/chess-…

So just out of curiosity, how accessible/usable is the official Twitter app for Mac?

So, just had my screen reader’s AI describe a chipmunk as a goldfish in a fishtank… This is why folks should still be manually describing the images they post… #a11y

I’ve been testing this and it’s pretty cool. You can make calls and get iMessage/SMS notifications from your iPhone and reply to them from your PC. The bad part is all Apple’s locked down APIs. This works because of Bluetooth profiles allowing notifications. Can’t sync messages.

the Phone Link app for Windows 11 has now been updated to support iOS. You'll get the iPhone button here once Microsoft unlocks more people into the preview theverge.com/2023/2/28/23618…

Hi @sonos, it has been possible to add streaming radio stations via their URL and listen to them on Sonos speakers via TuneIn as referenced here: support.sonos.com/en-us/arti… But unless I'm missing something, this is not supported on the 'New' TuneIn" app? how do we do this now?b

Is there a keyboard shortcut in the Twitter web app to open URLs in the currently focused tweet? If so, I'm missing it, and haven't found an efficient way to do it. moving the virtual cursor to an embedded link and pressing enter doesn't seem to work.

I can only speak for myself but I got so accustomed to third party Twitter clients that I didn't spend much time testing and offering feedback to Twitter on the a11y of their web app. Maybe if more of us had done so, we would be in a better place now. @gracesong815

So this is interesting. not sure if openTween is going to implement Mastodon support or if they're working on something else, but they're still making code changes and releasing updates even though it won't authorize on Twitter: osdn.net/projects/opentween/…

Woot has kindle Fire tablets on sale today. From the perspective of a screen reader user,Are there any advantages to having one of these if you already have a stock Android device?

Hi @JeffRisdon, Curious as to your evaluation so far of the job Mark Brunell has done? There have been a lot of accolades for this staff and rightfully so, but you never hear about Brunell. He hasn't had good young tallent to develop and unclear how crucial he has been to Goff.

My young nephew wants to know what a Describer does, so I’m going to write some description with him to help him figure it out. Any #Blind kids out there want a toy, or cartoon character, or movie poster described by a fellow kid? #AudioDescription #BlindTwitter

So on the Twitter web app, it appears you're supposed to press "g' and then 'u" to go to a user's timeline. However whenever I try this, the "g' isn't working or something. All that registers is the "u", and I end up accidentally muting someone. Is this happening to anyone else?

Just found out about a new, web, Text Based online RPG. Haven't explored it yet but I'm guessing the likelyhood that it's accessible or at least usable is high: torn.com/
