Hope against hope that this holds and Israel is restrained by Trump administration. Prayers and fingers crossed 🤲🤞
Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon. The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland. We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. I would also especially thank the visionary leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Türkiye for their immense contributions in this regard. With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week. These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony. @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @SecRubio @SteveWitkoff @SEPeaceMissions @drpezeshkian @mb_ghalibaf @araghchi

Old photos from 2005 when PAF sent a contingent to HAFB, Utah for inspection of F16s that were to be delivered to Pakistan under EDA program. In total 14 of these birds were later delivered. GC Mujahid Anwar Khan was a part of that group who later went on to become ACM in 2018.

A family model viper getting topped up in any one of RF exercises that PAF participated in. You can see circumference fluorescent markings on extended telescoping tube of refueling boom which are vital visual indicators of depth perception & envelope position for boom operator.

Old photos from 2010 when PAF sent 8 pilots to US, Arizona for transition course from A/B to C/D models before delivery of Block52s to Pakistan. These pilots were actually trained on Block25s of Arizona ANG but they were also instructed on Block52 by LM in Texas.

My ancestors build this city called Mohenjo-Daro in Pakistan. It was a major city of Indus Valley Civilization which was one of the oldest civilizations of the world.
My ancestors built some cool stuff 🇪🇬

I believe the entire transit from China to Pakistan was conducted surfaced cuz thats when submarine is faster & navigation is much easier. Also the way a stealth fighter masks its RCS by radar reflector, a sub also masks its stealth properties during such voyage.
PNS HANGOR HAS OFFICIALLY ARRIVED IN PAKISTAN 🇵🇰 It was escorted by Pakistan Naval Aviation upon its arrival in Pakistani waters. The New Era Begins 🔥

During deployment sub manages alot of things to avoid passive detection like moving at low speeds to prevent cavitation, dampening internal machinery sound, avoid any kind of emission, degausse to reduce magnetism. In transit mode sub would be doing opposite of it all.

One interesting thing to notice on older Hornets are LEX Fences. These were added to cancel out the effect of vortices generated by leading edge extensions that would ultimately induce severe oscillations in vertical stabilizer leading to structural failures.

In Super Hornet this was resolved by complete redesign of leading edge extensions and adding vents in place of LEX fencers.

Another one from the archives. This time you can hear noisey canopy from inside the cockpit. Notice the optical calibration data sticker. Problem is that every canopy differs slightly in thickness & curvature that creates optical deviations resulting in HUD weapon aiming errors.
An old video of 606 bird that I found in archives. This bird was later credited for SU-30MKI kill. Most of you would not have imagined how loud the canopy actuators do sound. The only sound I loved here is the PW220 motor spool up.

No big bird could be as iconic as the Queen. The hump is just so unimaginably beautiful. PIA had 15 of them that got beautiful regional liveries. Gutted that they discontinued it. Even more gutted that perhaps no new 747 will ever be made 😔

The sticker contains optical alignment parameters that are used by mission computer to compensate for those deviations and remove aiming errors.

Its aerodynamic braking but thats not something recommended for heavy cargo lifters as it could lead to structural damage. Thrust reversers & spoilers do an amazing job in assisting mechanical wheel brakes hence aero braking isn't needed. The thing is that when you land you...
A Boeing 747 pilot demonstrates remarkable control, holding the nose up just a little longer after touchdown. Pure skill from the Queen of the Skies. Why do some Boeing 747 pilots keep the nose up after touchdown? 🤔

...could lead to structural damage on both landing gear and the forward section of fuselage. The damage or injury to property or personnel inside is additional. So its absolutely not recommended on big birds.

Addition: Also high pitch angle could skid your tail with the tarmac. Most modern lifters do have tail cushions but if the skid is too heavy or too long then tail could get seriously damaged needing costly repairs or at worst could be written off totally.
