WHY KASPA (from a BITCOINERS perspective): As a Bitcoiner (former Bitcoin maxi, card recently revoked) I came to the conclusion Kaspa was different than 99.9% of other "shitcoins/cryptos" and deserved to be studied (and smash bought):   LIKE BITCOIN, KASPA is:  - Fair launched/no pre mine  - Open source - Decentralized/immutable at Layer 1  - Proof of work - UTXO Model  - Hard capped supply  It stands out because Kaspa:  Took a different approach to other Bitcoin "copies" and started with a different architecture and protocol completely (not like Bitcoin Cash or BSV, etc)  Might solve the trilemma (definitely the closest to doing so on the base layer)  Might actually be closer to Satoshis P2Ps cash system than the current implementation of Bitcoin Processes 10 blocks per second, with supposedly further growth coming  ... It's my view as a sound money maximalist that when the fiat system inevitably collapses:  Everyone in the future should have cheap, easy access to use a sovereign Layer 1 for Saving AND Payments (questions remain how Bitcoin can do this long term) ... Other POSITIVES: The Twitter community makes the Bitcoiners look like boomers from LinkedIn Less dogmatic, hard core religiosity that Kaspa (as opposed to Bitcoin) has to be everything  The mining hashpower to market cap is enormous, showing it's resilience and miner confidence  .... HONEST concerns (in order) Network effects. Bitcoin at this point has a clear network effect for cryptocurrency.  However, so did the fax machine 35 years ago.  Will Bitcoin capture MONETARY network effects from fiat? Remains to be seen...  Known founder. Bitcoin has a clear advantage in having Satoshi anonymous Pruned nodes.  How sure can we be this can equal bitcoins linear blockchin, with each node having a full copy of every block/transaction?  Frequent hard forks. Gives more potential for bad tech/ideas to slip in and take the ethos away from a Nakamoto consensus  Emission schedule. Compared to Bitcoin, Kaspa's already been nearly 95% mined, with the remaining 5% to be mined in the next 10 years  ... So hey, if you ready this and study Kaspa and it's not for you, its all good. We can still be friends. But if I have to say one thing for the Bitcoin community it's to stop labelling everything a shitcoin UNLESS you can provably disprove the thesis first.  You might not agree with it, but should respect there's a lot of thought given to Kaspa, even if it ultimately fails.  Bitcoin has its purpose, it's clear. Kaspa may fill in the gaps.   I don't know what Kaspa will end up being in the future, but there's enough signal to stay around, learn, and perhaps up my exposure.   You do whatever you want, but I've explained my why.

This is an April Fools but the funny thing is all these custodial lightning providers make you do just about that much...
🚨 Starting today, all zaps on Club Orange will require identity verification. This includes a government-issued ID and a short video selfie. We've partnered with a leading compliance provider to make the process as seamless as possible. Users who complete KYC will receive a verified checkmark next to their zaps. We know this isn't what anyone wants to hear, but after consulting with legal counsel, this is the path forward. Verify your identity in Settings > Wallet > Compliance to continue zapping.

NOT an April Fool's Let me get one thing out of the way - I love Bitcoin. Bitcoiners say to look at returns in 4 year windows. Well, I have. I took $100/week DCA'd into Bitcoin from April 1, 2022 to today (4 years). Here are the results:

Why wouldn't average folks just DCA into the S&P 500? Less headache and similar returns; at least looking at the past 4 years. Unfortunately, Bitcoin won't thrive until NGU returns. Until then, expect similar results.

🎉THE RESULTS ARE IN! Thank you to the 121 respondents of this poll asking Kaspians where they came from in their Sound Money journey! Read to the end for the most surprising finding.

Results/Takeaways - 69%😉(84/121) were Bitcoiners: This result isn’t too surprising, 69% is super impressive and speaks to most Kaspians realizing Bitcoin either has problems they're not satisfied are/will be resolved or Kaspa's properties are superior. 19% (23/121) came from another Crypto: I would’ve thought this number would be slightly higher given my bias as a former Bitcoin Maxi, who thought people would go from one coin to another for things like NGU, technology, unit bias, etc. 11% (11/121) were previously No Coiners: I’m pleasantly surprised this didn’t get the fewest votes. It’s hard enough to get No Coiners to any cryptocurreny at all; BUT, to get ANYONE to pay attention to roughly the (as of today #55 coin in Market Cap) is nothing short of miraculous. This is an incredible sign. AND LASTLY - MOST SURPRISING: 1% (1/121) came to Kaspa from a Bitcoin hard fork (BSV, BCH, etc): In my short time in Kaspa, I’ve already heard a bunch of times from Bitcoiners that Kaspa is just another shitcoin like the 99.9% of other cryptocurrcies, and this one is just another Bitcoin wannabe. This is even more SIGNAL that this isn’t true, and most Kaspians are just on the sound money journey. Thank you again to everyone who took the time to vote, like, and share :
