tagging, finding a good summary excerpt, formatting your chapter breaks to make sure your separators are centered, making sure you're using the right rating, it's Never ending
you guys have severely undersold just how nerve wrecking and annoying uploading something to ao3 is all you authors are built different 😭

that's why i create a draft of my work and fill it in a few days/weeks before i think ill be done. it saves me the headache

i wrote a fic for the vanitas no carte fandom in 2022 and it took over a year to even get past 50 kudos. every few months or so i get an email that someone gave it kudos and it makes me really happy

I'm seeing this AO3 💾🐎 on fanfics/comments/kudos, and now I thought, "Well, maybe I should delete mine," since most don't even reach 30 kudos or haven't comments... I left them there because I like the idea of them existing somewhere beyond my head but maybe I shouldn't.
