Canceled. I will not be attending the tournament tomorrow. Rebooked for tomorrow but I’m stuck in Chicago and have no idea what now. Will attempt to make it to NOLA tomorrow. Maybe they’ll give me a hotel in Chicago I don’t know

Flight delayed twice cause of a tornado in Chicago. Landing in New Orleans at 3:30 am and they’re giving everyone free alcohol on the plane and this dude next to me just got a TRIPLE vodka soda while we sit and wait on this plane 😭😭 Imagine if my invite was hinging on this tournament like the last 2 years… I’ll consider myself lucky.

If I was playing Blaziken to NAIC this is what I’d play. I do think it has a sus alakazam matchup and it can be a pain to setup this deck sometimes but I like it a lot for this tournament. Here’s some extra thoughts 👇🏼 1. Tool scrapper over Dawn is cool. It fixes your zam matchup (sorta), auto wins crustle, and takes pearls off of clefairys. Something to consider. 2. I am respecting crustle with chi-yu. I think crustle is a good play and it feels good knowing I am beating that. 3. You have candies and a fez attack for slowking. The matchup is not great but there’s simply no room for shaymin. Tool scrapper would hit the deck first 4. I’m going blind second until I know what I’m up against. I like going second into Pult. Chicken is a good natural hammers counter. If they flip over slop box, slowking, or zam I’d rather go first and will pick that if I know what they’re playing but getting into the game with a deck this powerful is priority #1. 5. I think this is the best time to play Blaziken since the release of Meowth. It’s not as good of a deck as Pult hammers but it naturally counters a lot of the Pult-hate deck that I expect to see a lot of. I’m not saying I’m playing this, regular dragapult is high on my list as well as beedrill and metagross box, but this is a great pick and could be it and is solid information if you’re thinking of playing it this weekend (: As always, check out the chicken pult guide (pinned on my profile) for the real good details and gameplay.
