The hidden cost of AI is not the build. It is the upkeep. When a vendor changes or deprecates a model, the work does not stop at switching endpoints. Teams have to retest prompts, revalidate workflows, and make sure customer-facing outputs still behave the way the business expects. That takes time, budget, and ownership. AI systems are not “set and forget.” They need a maintenance plan from day one. Visit gaiinsights.com/cbg-llms for more information. We cover what buyers should budget for in the GAI Insights Q3 2026 Buyer’s Guide. @amhrtech @PaulBaier @jjsviokla

AI is quickly becoming one of those areas where early choices can have long-term consequences. It’s not just about whether a company is using AI. It’s about which models they trust, how they deploy them, which vendors they build around, and whether the stack can actually scale with the business. That’s why we evaluated 30 AI vendors in the GAI Insights Q3 2026 Buyer’s Guide. Visit gaiinsights.com/cbg-llms for more details The companies that get this right will not just adopt AI faster. They’ll build on a stronger foundation. #GAIInsights #BuyersGuide @amhrtech @PaulBaier @jjsviokla

Fable 5 is state-of-the-art on nearly all tested benchmarks, with exceptional performance in software engineering, knowledge work, scientific research, and vision. The longer and more complex the task, the larger Fable 5’s lead over our other models.

Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use. Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.

Especially true for Claude Opus 4.7. You ask it to review 15 articles in detail, it will stop at 3 and just make up stuff for rest. Opus 4.8 likes to write essays for everything. It will take 10 lines to say something that can be done in 2. GPT 5.5 is surprisingly good as 5.4 had claudesque problems.
In addition to enterprises pushing to better understand token costs, I think the consumer models (I use many) are "trying less hard" recently. Meaning, trying to do answer without web search. Angling to give up sooner. I have to believe this is a result of cost optimization.

"Compute is revenues. Performance per watt is your revenues. Choosing the wrong architecture just because the chips are cheaper doesn't translate, doesn't make sense." — Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA In the age of AI factories, compute is revenue — every token produced is profitable — making delivered performance per watt, reliability, and the long lifetime of these systems the core financial levers, not just peak specs. What stood out in 2025 is already becoming the baseline for 2026. Generative AI is moving faster than standard corporate roadmaps. We are rapidly transitioning from the phase of "curious experimentation" to "essential execution." At our upcoming global gathering, we are bringing together pioneers from world-class financial institutions, healthcare giants, and leading tech innovators to decode what it takes to lead in this next era. Don’t just watch the shift happen. Step in before the next wave becomes the standard.
