JetBlue had two deals: one with American, giving them more slots to expand in New York, and one with Spirit, giving them the planes and pilots to fill those slots. The Biden DOJ blocked both of them, first claiming that the American deal was bad because JetBlue was a market disruptor... and then claiming that the Spirit deal was bad because JetBlue was a market monopolist. And now Spirit is gone, leaving consumers with fewer choices. This is the inevitable result when the government meddles in the market: consumers suffer.

The transaction is finished. No middleman. No margin. No quarterly report. Call it a safety concern if you like. The supply chain knows what it really is: a threat to the business model. The regulations exist to protect the revenue, not the people drinking from it. Know the difference.

This is such a dumb take. 50 million people live in this tiny sliver of the country. Nobody is trying to get high speed rail to Joplin, Missouri, they’re trying to connect the very densely populated urban centers. Just as China has done (and France, Spain, Morocco etc)

Very intriguing D2 player in the portal: Ferris State's Carson Gulker. The 6-3 240 TE/H-back/RB had 541 rush yards, 548 rec yards, 141 pass yards and 13 TDs this season. He shared snaps at QB with Trinidad Chambliss in 2024 before suffering a broken leg. Gulker is visiting Michigan State and LSU, per his rep @dgregory1 of @bullrush_sports.

An absolute crisis. Congress NEEDS to act. For months, I’ve been working night & day to try to bring Republicans and Democrats together to save college sports. If we fail to do so, it will be an utter tragedy. And it’s happening right before our eyes.
