Just published a post on the @awscloud #database blog aws.amazon.com/blogs/databas…
@dynamodb supports multi-active “Global Tables” and you can now work with them in DynamoDB Shell (ddbsh).
You can create, and manage replicas of Global tables with ddbsh version 0.3 and higher.

You can query them just as you would a regional table.
Note that version 0.4 which came out more recently also adds support for deletion protection DDL (through CREATE TABLE and ALTER TABLE).

#aws #dynamodb shell now has DDL support for global tables. I'd finished most of the code for this while I was traveling. Finally got it over the line earlier this week. See github.com/awslabs/dynamodb-… (see version 0.3)
