What a heartbreaking call @VOCMOpenline 💔 a woman goes to a hospital for a scan she’s been waiting 18ths for, gets sexually assaulted by a man (known to harass patients frequently according to nurse there) in the elevator and police say there’s nothing they can do. Not okay, 😡

I understand that this man has a right to public healthcare like any other, but it is a basic human right for this woman to also safely access healthcare. The message sure sounds like no one wants the hassle of dealing with this. It’s exhausting. It’s infuriating!

We are excited to announce we have a new Executive Director – Jen Crowe (She/Her)! Jen will be taking on this role effective July 15th! 👏
As many know, Jen is no stranger to CFY! She joined our team in March 2020 and has been providing strategic leadership across many areas of the organization ever since. Jen demonstrates a deep commitment to Choices for Youth’s mission and vision through all her work, and we are thrilled to see her step into this new role ✨
The search for Choices for Youth’s Executive Director included a robust recruitment and selection process, led by CFY’s Human Resource and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors with support from an external Human Resources consultant.

ALT Power Outage Safety Turn off all the lights except one to signal when the power comes back on. Unplug your appliances and electronics to protect them from a power surge. Turn your thermostat down by a few degrees. Prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Keep generators, bbqs and propane heaters outside and away from your home. Keep your refrigerator and freezer door shut to keep your food cold.
