This is exactly why KIN X is not going anywhere.
It still offers a feel and experience that standard glass simply doesn’t replicate. We’ve never claimed it’s for everyone because no product should be. Different players like different surfaces, and that’s a good thing for the community.
There’s a reason KIN X continues to outlast most limited 1000 piece runs, and we genuinely appreciate everyone who has supported it.
This is not a shot at competitors. Honestly, I love competition. We’re one of the few companies that openly interact with and even tag competitors from our business account because competition pushes better products for everyone involved.
If you haven’t tried KIN X yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot. We quietly update the surface continualy. If you don't like it return it
People also need to stop chasing every “fastest” or “game changing” claim thrown around online. The differences between many glass surfaces are far less dramatic than people make them seem. Go with the product you genuinely enjoy using. Go with the company you like supporting. Go with the art and designs that fit your style.
Most importantly, stop letting hype make decisions for you.
The companies that have been around in this space for years continue to evolve products when meaningful improvements actually exist. That’s how this community grows.
Again, this is not hate toward anyone. I respect a lot of companies in this space and even refer customers elsewhere when their needs fit another product better than ours.
Mousepads are in such a weird state due to how easy it is to enter the market and manufacture them. Seems like anybody can just slap a logo on one, include some buzzwords, and call it a day. I’m happy I got into the scene early enough to know trusted brands and who actually cares
