Winter Wonder Lard V, Bristol’s premier Lardy day will be held at Bristol Independent Gaming on Saturday 1st February 2025.
We are now looking for games to be put on to make 2025’s Winter Wonder Lard as ‘gert lush’ as previous years.

Random Sunday musing. Would there be interest in a lardy day type event for other historical wargames that (whisper it) aren't TFL? Keep the winning format - non competitive games hosted by people who put on a game/period they are passionate about beer & curry - but open it up?

The obvious barrier would be the lack of common thread between games. Players would need to go in eyes open that they may end up with a game/period they have no interest in. Perhaps best to start small-ish with a 'curated' invite list...

But one of the things I like most about lardy days is being able to try a new game or period without the need to first buy/paint two entire armies. I'd love too try that for other rules too.
