The Jets have now hired seven head coaches since the end of the 2000 season ā and with Aaron Glenn ā six of them have been first-time head coaches with defensive backgrounds: Herm Edwards, Eric Mangini, Rex Ryan, Todd Bowles, Robert Saleh, and Glenn.
The lone exception: Adam Gase.

A new coach in New York: Jets are hiring former Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn as their new head coach, per sources.
The former Jets 1994 first-round pick, who became a personnel scout for the team, now is becoming their head coach.

This current expectation is that this is going to get done and that Miami will hire Minnesotaās Corey Hetherman as its new defensive coordinator, sources tell @CBSSports/@247Sports.
