This is not the solution. A fairer, more inclusive procurement process, an exemplar work environment within government attracting the best people, Some modicum of accountability etc etc. itnews.com.au/news/watt-flag…

I made the below echidna explainer image using Nano Banana Pro in one shot for fun with no real aesthetic direction. The text is a bit mangled in places but the limiting factor now is really my imagination. 🦔

New side quest: A model/OS/industry agnostic tool for thought powered by your existing LLM. Multi farm, mobs/animals, local data, reports. Works with other tools, research/bpm, shares nothing without permission. More to come✌🏻#ausag #Agriculture

I've never felt more Australian than I did this evening, fishing a huge rotting Kookaburra out of the pool skimmer box with my thongs while waiting for sausages to cook on the BBQ... 💪🇦🇺🩴

The new Mac mini is essentially the machine I've been waiting for - a baby Mac Studio. AU$999 ok, but spec'd to near what I need >AU$4k. 😱 Would be nice if it had an SD card slot larger memory options (not that I can afford them). Bring on the reviews...

For someone who predominantly works alone, large language models have been amazing productivity boosters. I'm continually finding new ways that they help me run my life and business more efficiently. It's crazy to think we're only just beginning with all this.

Omg. I’d better not show this to my kids or I’m never going to leave the house again. 👍🏻

3.6 sonnet with higher temperature works REALLY well with MC bench. Possibly the best model I've seen with the least effort put in by me. Just one example, will update this thread.

15,000 sq foot of outside connectivity and point to poor connections of 200-400mbps up to half a mile. Sounds pretty decent. Not super cheap but there are more and more consumer outdoor solutions coming onto the market that look good. theverge.com/2024/10/23/2427…

This was LLAVA 1.6 7B running on my MacBook. Gemini 1.5 Flash easily provides me with an accurate answer. 👏

I haven't had a printer in years but am looking to get one again. Consumer grade but good/high quality that allows me to use different papers etc. Ink's not locked to the manufacturer. Any recommendations?

Current AI agents seem anything but agentic. I want an AI to understand & think about the complexities to a question & construct the method of answering it. Not to rely on a list of pre-determined functions for it to run based on keyword matches. #ai

I tidied my home office last night. I can see the surface of my desk for the first time in a very long time and the dogs are appreciating being able to use their office bed again. Thought everyone would benefit from knowing that.

Sigh. Google domains sold to Squaresapce who have sold to a private equity firm. We’re screwed. It’s still a huge pain to move domains between services. techcrunch.com/2024/05/13/pe…

New AI research from Meta – CoTracker3 Simpler and Better Point Tracking by Pseudo-Labelling Real Videos. More details ➡️ go.fb.me/xiyc63 Demo on @huggingface ➡️ go.fb.me/yzuqd0  Building on our previous work on CoTracker, this new model demonstrates impressive tracking results where points can be tracked for a long time even when they're occluded or leave the field of view. CoTracker3 achieves state-of-the-art, outperforming all recent point tracking approaches on standard benchmarks — often by a substantial margin. We've released the research paper, code and a demo on Hugging Face — along with models available under an A-NC license to support further research in this space.
