We had a great day at state forensics, finishing 2nd as a team, our highest finish in school history! Out of the 16 qualified entries we were allowed to bring, 11 made it to semifinals and 9 made it to finals. to see them in action. Congratulations to: 1/4
We traveled to Sedgwick today and seven members of our team were able to come away with a third place finish in sweeps behind Andover and Wichita Northwest. We were also accompanied by several of our 4th through 8th graders participating in a festival during finals! 1/3
We competed at a very large meet at Wichita Southeast today. Breaking into the top six was hard sledding when some events had more than 60 entries! We still have a lot to celebrate. Top 10 finishers today included:

After two days of debate this weekend, our 4-speaker team came up one win short of a state trophy in a very competitive state debate meet.

On Friday we competed at the CKL league debate meet and came away woth 2nd place in sweepstakes! Competitors on the day included Adam Anderson and Parker Metoyer and Kaylee Garcia and Adie Hall. 1/3

It was a good weekend! Halstead Forensics traveled to the Olathe Northwest Forensics Invitational Tournament. The meet is the largest in the state of Kansas and primarily features competition from 5A and 6A schools. In team sweeps, Halstead finished 10th out of 31 schools.
