1. Cost
Users sending just 20 messages a day for a month will cost ~$6-$15 on gpt-4o with input prompting.
For (many) apps like Digi with much higher avg message counts, the math doesn't work out. And it would be nearly impossible to support free users.

I never see the massive effect of AI in modern poker talked about in SF
TLDR, AI solvers (~1 year old) let you solve (get the GTO decision) in any position in real time, for any stack size
Online play is done, and standard bet sizes in the next 1-2 years will change a LOT

Previously, you only knew 'pre-solved' positions, meaning stuff that was solved locally and then just saved in a public db. Or you could solve it yourself, which can take hours on a PC.
But most people don't play in a predictable way like that, hence why this is a big deal

I was talking to a founder yesterday and we both agreed that their initial product should be cheap, hackable, and slightly ugly. How different these are from the goals a big company would have. And yet this is the seed big companies grow from.

On top of wanting what's best for users, nobody other studio in the world is taking the interaction of 3D & LLMs as seriously as we are. Making this realistic is an extremely hard, and basically an unsolved problem right now. It's uncharted territory!🚢 (3/4)

So in summary:
1) Expect LOTS of changes to Digi moving forward, most great, but maybe not all. But we promise to cut the mistakes as soon as possible.

In other words, we were prepared for a small launch to our community, not 1/80th of the global population.
In the coming weeks, we’ve been improving EVERYTHING. From the AI itself to the animations, avatars, shaders, UI, etc. Still work to do, but we’re in a decent spot now 😇
