Last spring, I accepted a position @CarySD26 as Assistant Principal of Deer Path Elementary School. I started in my role this month and I cannot express how grateful and excited I am! Thank you to my boss and the DP staff for the beautiful welcome flowers and gift card!

Congrats to our boys! @brodyvariano1 tied single game for 3’s in game last week, @JHupp33 scored his 1000 career point, & @_jaredryg broke the single season for steals, that stood for 29 years, set in 95 by Hersey great Paul Wolf. We are proud of these boys! @Dion_JTsports

What do you get when you cross literacy with music? Students helping each other, an epic rap off, conversations on how poetry is like music, and students creating their own songs using figurative language! So excited to hear the finished creations! @KCSD96 #inspire96

My daughter’s 23 yr old friend died from a biking accident. The funeral was packed with people of all ages, races, cultures, and backgrounds. She was in a running club w/20 year olds, & biked w/67 year olds. Over & over I heard that she was a bright and shining light.

And as her brothers, friends, professor, mom, and coach shared their memories, it kept coming back to two things she did…love God & love others. It seems too simple, but the sacred work of loving can be hard and heartbreaking and beautiful and good. Today, I run for love. ❤️
