Malabar Spinach thrives in hot tropical and humid climates, and is a short-lived perennial (2-3 years) in climates that do not receive frost or snow, where it turns into an annual. Malabar has thick, succulent styled leaf and both leaves and stems are edible. They produced a great amount of seeds and are prolific self seeders. Nutrient dense, Malabar contains high amounts of minerals and vitamins.
