Gen Z has heard this advice for our ENTIRE lives! This is how you get whores (men and women), forever girlfriends, the 2-income trap, working moms putting their children in daycare, & abortions. The best age to marry is 1-3 years after becoming exclusive with your future spouse.

• large families (4 kids on average)
• mothers staying at home to raise kids
• fathers working to provide for their families
• nuns as the primary teachers in schools
• priests leading souls to heaven in parishes
• bishops as the primary public defenders of the Faith

My brother and two cousins crashed an unofficial date I had with a 42 year old man at the beach when I was 19. We only planned it the night before and my brother didn’t want me to go. He ended calling our mom who ended up calling our cousins in a panic to send them to the beach.

Apparently the reason a date should include a meal is that it shows the girl that the man can provide food & drinks. That’s true, especially after they already met and seen each other for a few weeks. A meal isn’t the only way he can show he’s a provider in the friendship stage.

It’s still a terrible idea for a 1st date which might lead to disappointment. What if a guy plans a dinner for the 1st date, then plans a coffee date for the 2nd? What if he goes 50/50 because he can’t afford meals for multiple 1st dates? A meal is good after the 1st or 2nd date.

Beyond paying for the date itself, a couple other ways include giving her a gift or sending a car to pick her up for an early date (whether a taxi or through a ride sharing app). A man can do 1 or 2 of these things to woo her during the early friendship stage of dating/courtship.

Once the girl and guy discerned each other’s basic character, compatibility, and chemistry (usually after the first meeting and activity date), then a meal, plus a gift and/or paying for transportation, for any date moving forward will show the girl that he can provide for her.

This is a terrible idea because it adds too much pressure for a first date. A first date is about getting to know someone, not just as a romantic prospect, but as a person. If a date turns out to be a walking red flag, you can’t leave early if you’re eating a meal. 1/🧵

If you’re planning a first date, you can do similar things to what I said earlier. If you want to do more than coffee or drinks, get donuts or pastries for your coffee date or split an appetizer when going to a bar. Have it in a public venue and keep it simple. It’s that easy.
