Sorry to hear from a Trustee that the flower meadow in Ashplats Wood was mown just as orchids and wild flowers were appearing. I'm told it wasn't the contractors. If you have any info on this, I can pass it on. Rare wild flowers often thrive in plots that may look neglected. š„

Why is no one in the media making the connection between the school curriculum introduced by Gove 2010-2014 that focussed on academic subjects at the expense of vocational studies and the report on the number of young people not in work, education or training?

In the best schools,care for the children goes beyond the classroom:
The office staff greeting them warmly
The lunch staff making sure theyāve eaten
The caretaker stopping to help
The cleaner smiling in the corridor
TAs and teachers encouraging them to keep going
Different roles.
Same shared care for children.
