absolutely recommend "The Sheep Detectives" -- but only if you know what to expect; a truly delightful shaggy-sheep story with wonderful (human) voices including that of Bryan Cranston as a stalwart ram & Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the most clever sheep. a meta-mystery that most skillfully deconstructs the formulaic English village cozy even as it manages to surprise us nonetheless. surprisingly candid about matters of life & death; almost too stark for its convivial tone. might be OK for children of 10 or 11.... its tragic revelations come as a surprise in a film of such conviviality & magnanimity.
