It was great to see the Cornet, right and left hand men and acting father proceed into the river Teviot to mark the boundary late afternoon on Friday. It was such a hot day and the horses looked like they enjoyed their dip. #HawickCommonRiding2023 @projecthawick @TheHawickPaper

Attended my first Common Riding over the last couple of days. So much history and tradition with the Cornet tying ribbons on the 1514 memorial and 2014 Commemorative statue. A great procession and amazing community spirit. #HawickCommonRiding2023 @projecthawick @TheHawickPaper

Competitors, rostrum and winners with tickets to the Pump Track World Championships in Argentina. The winner of the men’s final won by 1/10th of a second! It was wonderful to attend a new sport. Amazing that this track is available for all to use every day. @projecthawick

Had a superb night seeing @weddingpresent at @LIQUIDROOMS Edinburgh. Amazing to hear some of 24 songs live. The ending of ‘We Interrupt….’ was stunning and ‘We All Came From The Sea’ was the highlight for me. Just wow! Fantastic 20 song set by @suchsmalltweets Great crowd too.

It was amazing to see @arxxband last night in Newcastle. Wonderful to catch up with Hanni and Clara. It was so nice to see familiar faces after moving north. Loved hearing their new songs live. Ride or Die, is a belter of a debut album. A superb (but extremely hot) night!!

You can see why @arxxband have got Masca as one of their support bands on their current tour. Powerful heavy pop sound. Very catchy songs, loved Animal. Look forward to hearing more from them.

Finally, back to attending gigs. Great support from @Abnormband last night. I love discovering new bands. Getting to the gig early is so important to see the support bands. Love their song Citrus. Will definitely be seeing them again.

Saw some fantastic films at the @alchemyfilmarts festival this weekend. Very impressed with the slick organisation. Volunteers at the various exhibitions were very helpful too. Congratulations to all involved. See you next year. #embracethestrange
