Ealing Southall has the 12th highest rate of diabetes in the country, a serious health issue that can lead to further complications if left undetected.
Tomorrow, the Community Diabetes Team are holding free health checks at Southall Town Hall, open to everyone.

50 years ago today, 18-year-old Gurdip Singh Chaggar was murdered in a racist attack in Southall.
I was proud to remember him in my maiden speech. Ealing Southall has always stood against racism & discrimination. His memory lives on as we continue to choose unity over division.

🚨 NEW: Latest stats show we’re over 70% of the way to our target to recruit 6,500 teachers in the places they’re needed most.
We have 4,654 more teachers in those schools and colleges compared to 2024.
Community note
The latest government data shows that there are now 1,900 fewer teachers than when Labour came into office.
This includes a decrease in nursery, primary and seconday school teachers.

My Roving Surgery this weekend was in Dormers Wells ward, joined by Cllr Dheer & Cllr Bains. A really strong sense of community here. Greener Ealing were also out & about cleaning the streets which was good to see!
