In civilized times we'd be calling this administration's pulling of Fable based on weak shit like this an affront to free markets. But the TL is full of people treating the words of government propagandists as gospel. Imagine Biden did this? Or Harris? Pathetic.

Fable is a different breed, man. The output is actually worth reading carefully instead of skimming. Never felt this way about any model before.

What level of LLM psychosis is reading a sentence like “the patience to do some tedious, careful work in the few places that matter.” And be able to translate it back to “boring shit” which is what it was before ChatGPT “fixed” it.

Gemini 3.5 is disappointing but if Google can parlay their omni paradigm into phone/computer use agents they can leap frog Anthropic/OpenAI in knowledge work. Google is the only one of the big 3 that has an OS (for now). 2027 could be the year of agent-native Android.
