Apple Ads can drive growth fast. They can also burn through budget just as quickly. The difference comes down to the keywords you're bidding on. Some keywords drive installs. Others look promising on paper but end up costing far more than they're worth. Next Wednesday we're going live to teardown real Apple Ads campaigns and look at the data behind those decisions. Want your app reviewed? Submit it here for a chance to be selected live 👉 fg.rs/ls79f There's also a simple way to improve your odds of getting picked, but you'll have to join us to find out. 📅 Wednesday, June 17th ⏰ 10:30–11:30 AM EST 📍 youtube.com/@appfigures

“There’s no money on Google Play” 🤷🏻‍♂️
44 non-game Google Play-only apps launched in the last 8 months are already above $100K/mo. 3 are already above $500K/mo. Not every successful app needs to be everywhere. Source: @appfigures

Fun fact: only one app was shown but not mentioned. Did you catch it?
We analyzed every app Erick the Architect rapped about at the end of WWDC 26 (including the one he showed but didn't mention!) → 95 apps (minus one mac app) → 587M downloads in the last year → $3.7B in after-fee revenue in the last year More stats the full list 👉 appfigures.com/resources/ins…

🎧 Apple could've filled its WWDC rap with shiny AI startups. Instead, it chose apps averaging 11 years old. 95 made the cut. 92 have hit #1. Averaging 270x the installs and 665x the revenue of a typical app. It wasn’t hyping new trends. It was spotlighting staying power.

Wasting money on Apple Ads is one of the easiest mistakes to make. We've seen apps spend thousands of dollars bidding on keywords that were never worth targeting in the first place. That's why next Wednesday we're going live to teardown real Apple Ads campaigns. No slides. No script. Just real accounts, real data, and honest feedback. Want your app reviewed live? Submit it here for a chance to be selected 👉 fg.rs/ls79f 📅 Wednesday, June 17th ⏰ 10:30–11:30 AM EST

This segment continues to grow - slowly but it's earning.
🙏 A faith app made $55K in May from 65K downloads. Probably not the category most founders are looking at. Core of the Heart Daily combines daily devotions, community, and mentorship. The product is not just content. It is a paid ritual.

Lots of opportunity here 👇
People will try a lot of things to get healthier. New apps keep proving it. 27 Health & Fitness apps launched in the last 8 months already crossed $20K/mo. 5 are already above $100K/mo. There is no single way to get healthy. That's what keeps creating room for new products. Source: @appfigures

Let’s talk real numbers so you can see how crazy the scale is 👇 - App Store: 82,282 new apps (not games) in May, up 217% from last May - Google Play: 86,821 new apps (not games) in May, up 74% from last May. It started on Google Play earlier, but the App Store caught up
Massive output uptick due to agentic AI. Complete flat adoption.

🤯 Claude grew revenue 26x in a year. Not downloads. Revenue. May downloads were actually lower than April. Yet Claude still hit a record $92M month. The best AI apps aren't just growing. They're getting dramatically better at getting paid.

💡 Instants doesn't need to beat Snapchat day one. It has to show Instagram can push a behavior back into the mainstream. 4M installs so far says it can. The hard part is building the habit. Threads shows the result of Meta being patient. Instants might get the same treatment.

🤯 ChatGPT mobile grossed $5B — faster than YouTube, Tinder, Disney , or TikTok. 🚀 It made $5B (est.) before any rival hit $500M. 💰 By late '25, it was grossing nearly $7/install. 📅 Some months. it made more than rivals' lifetime totals. AI got big. ChatGPT got bigger. 📈

Amazing to see Appfigures data featured on stage at Google I/O 2026. Flutter is now the #2 most popular app development SDK across both the App Store and Google Play, according to our SDK Leaderboard. It's great to see how our data provides insight into the future of mobile development at scale.

Old trend *still* printing
Apparently looksmaxxing is a thing now and people are subscribing to it. PSL made $80K in April rating faces 😱 The app scans your face, gives you a score, and turns the anxiety into a plan. Can you guess what's driving its 340K downloads? Yes, TikTok, with 2.3M plays! Did the self-improvement hype end?
