We’ve been working alongside the most brilliant Material Cultures this year to build more deeply our knowledge, literacy and skills around bio based material approach to retrofitting our site
@CIVIC_SQUARE as well as our wider retrofit demonstrator work at the home, street and neighbourhood scale.
As always we’ve tried to work as openly as possible, through a peer to peer programme of many other brilliant organisers and practioners with projects across the country and are going to be open sourcing the research for everyone to be able to use as a practical tool for others in the West Mids, as well as the methodology of how you might go about this where you are.
We will be using the work as a practical tool and as capability / capacity building in our work, and the material palette for our neighbourhood infrastructure work. Join us as we celebrate and showcase the learning journey, and launch the Material Cultures report openly, there will be lots to do, from sitting back and listening to getting hands on with materials. If your practioner, supplier, contractor, education provider in this space we would also love for you to share your ideas, knowledge, skills in the community.
