Hello. I am one of these victim survivors working in the sector who recently exited an abusive relationship. I was incredibly lucky to have comprehensive support from my workplace, but not all workers have access to this, and that absolutely needs to change.
It is imperative that part of our discussions and efforts to “Value Lived Experience” in family violence work includes how we value & support the lived experiences of professionals in this space.
