It is important that the world does not remain silent in response to this latest act of Russian barbarism. This strike on the Lavra is an attack on the Christian community and on the cultural heritage of humanity. There can be no justification for this or for any other similar Russian attacks. What is needed is more cooperation to stop Russia’s war and stronger protection to save lives from Russia.

Probably not a bad idea to just replace capacitors and contactors in your AC / heat pump every 3-5 years. Under $50 and cheap insurance to not have to deal with it failing on a hot or cold day.
The AC stopped working in my 8yo’s room sometime on Thursday. I called the HVAC company but they were busy. Yesterday her room hit 97F! This morning we went to the hardware store and grabbed a replacement capacitor ($22.97) and everything is back to normal. She screamed “DAD YOU’RE AMAZING” and that was the actual best part.

Elon Musk is now a trillionaire. More specifically, his net worth is $1.2 trillion or $1200 billion. That number doesn’t even compute for most of us, so here is some helpful context: The USDA needs $18.8 billion to feed every child in the US school system breakfast and lunch each day. Elon could pay for that 64x and still have money leftover. The World Food Program needs $13 billion to feed the 110 million hungriest people on earth. Elon could pay for that 92x and still have money leftover. The National Alliance to End Homelessness needs $9.6 billion to provide housing for every unhoused person in the United States. Elon could pay for that 125x and still have money leftover. The average American teacher makes $74,495 per year. Elon could pay the annual salary of over 16 million teachers and still have money leftover. The problem is not that we don’t have enough money. The problem is that we have built a world where one person can accumulate more wealth than the GDP of 180 countries while children go hungry, families drown in medical debt, teachers are forced to buy school supplies for their students, and people sleep on the streets. This is a complete moral failure.

It's wild how many people can't seem to understand that you can allow success without needing trillionaires. Maybe separating company control from ownership? The wealth should be with the employees of the company rather than so concentrated.
Replying to @brandenflasch
Absolutely insane that people say capitalism should have a ceiling. wtf crazy line is this.

The 'universal high income' guy now has *all* the money. I'm sure it'll trickle down any day now. He said it would... so it's gotta be true.

This is funny because those nuclear reactors in space were allowed to internally hit 3,272°F while radiantly shedding 150kw worth of heat. Elon plans on shedding the same amount of heat - 150kw, while keeping his processors at a cool 140°F. A satellite component at 140°F (333 K) radiates roughly 1,000 times less heat per square inch than that reactor core. Meaning Elons' radiator would need to be 1,000 times larger to actually work. **The radiator would need to be the size of a football field** The radiator alone would be roughly as big as the international space station. And thats not including the solar panels or AI computers yet. It'll never work. But sure - give @elonmusk your life savings for the SpaceX IPO. Hes never lied before....

Lucid Self Driving (LSD) is awesome! I just spent the last hour cruising up and down the highway totally hands free with zero interventions or safety concerns. After receiving v3.6, you have to drive for a few minutes for the cameras to calibrate and then you are all set! There are two options for automatic lane changes, conservative and assertive. I find assertive to be a better fit for my driving style. Lane changes were smooth, quick and confident and unlike FSD, as soon as a safe distance is established, the car moves out of the passing lane. I was able to check my phone safely a few times without it immediately fussing at me. In fact, it is quite liberal with “nag”. I had to be looking away for a significant amount of time before it would ask me to pay attention. I hope Lucid keeps it up with these advancements- I am extremely impressed with today’s update. This makes Rivian’s self driving seem like a joke and Rivian has the audacity to charge a monthly fee for their basic lane keeping. I can tell the “brain” of the Lucid is much more competent by the decisions it makes. LSD FTW!

.@Tesla_AI This is unacceptable behavior with 14.3.3. There is no way the car in standard mode should do 40 km/h over the posted construction speed limit. I can't even imagine what hurry or Mad Max would do. 🤦‍♂️ This is dangerous and needs to be fixed ASAP.

That seems illegal.
This is a wild one. Tesla has retroactively modified official Full Self-Driving contracts with customers to add 'Supervised'. Tesla used to call FSD 'Full Self-Driving Capability', and the contract implied that it would eventually lead to full unsupervised autonomy. Only in 2024 did Tesla add the word 'Supervised' to the official FSD package name and changed the language to remove the implication of delivering unsupervised autonomy. Now, owners of Tesla HW3 cars with FSD who purchased FSD before the change report that Tesla retroactively updated their FSD contracts to add 'Supervised' and made them unavailable to download.

Easily a few thousand dollars in damage (and more in fines) that @Tesla and @elonmusk will take zero responsibility for. Hardware 4 is forever Level 2 ADAS
FSD appears to have trouble detecting barrier arm from a distance. It reacted only at the last second at high speed, attempted to move over, and ended up striking it. This looks like a supervision failure as much as an FSD failure.

Elon Musk, the wealthiest man alive, gutted USAID, which supports some of the poorest people in the world. Now there's an Ebola outbreak in the Congo, which USAID could have helped prevent or slow. When you dismantle the systems that stop deadly diseases, people needlessly die.
