I hate this particular phenomenon bc like it’s normal to explain something to a child in long form “your feet are near the edge of that! Be careful” and then shorten it as a reminder later to just “be careful!” and other parents around don’t always hear the long form explainer🤪
Accidentally let a “be careful!” slip while at the park with children and was lectured by someone telling me that phrasing is harmful for their development 😭 girl get off the internet
