❗️Need help negotiating this one❗️ A brand is offering me a gifted partnership including 1 mattress (value of ~$1500 - $2400), 1 duvet (~$300), and 2 pillows ($200/each). They want: - 3 images/carousel & 4 reels all posted on my IG - exclusively for 5 months total - All deliverables sent to them for cross-platform posting for ad usage Google tells me that there annual revenue is $28 million 🤪 Should I ask to be paid or would you take this as a completely gifted partnership?? #ugccreators #ugccommunity

Going to be trying out if a longer, more detailed pitch will produce a higher response rate! ✨ I’ve stuck to the short & sweet cold pitch for a while now and I haven’t been receiving great results recently ❗️For other creators out there: Are you finding shorter or longer cold pitches working better for you?❗️ #ugccommunity #ugccreators

So you want to become a successful UGC creator? Part 13 ✨ Here are some things that you may want to charge extra for on top of your base rate: ⬇️ > Usage rights!!!! I charge 25%-30% of my base rate per 30 days > Whitelisting > Spark Ads > Re-filming/extra revisions > Quick turnaround time Add any others you think are relevant in the comments & ❗️SAVE ❗️this for the next time you negotiate rates #ugccommunity #ugc #ugccreators

So you want to become a successful UGC creator? Part 12 ✨ Questions I ALWAYS ask brands before stating my rates ✨ 1. Where do you plan on using the content? For organic or paid media? 2. When are the deliverables due? 3. Are there any specific hooks/CTA’s you want included in the video? 4. Should I touch on any specific pain points? ✅SAVE this for when you get your next inbound✅ #ugccommunity #ugccreators #ugc

So you want to become a successful UGC creator? Part 11 How to NOT get SCAMMED 😤 ➡️ Here of some things to watch out for that could indicate you’re being scammed ❗️ > Emails not addressing you by your name > Emails that are from a generic email address instead of a company name > Brands asking you to pay for the product > Brands asking you to pay for shipping > Brands suggesting a sketchy form of payment > Brands that ask for unnecessary personal information ❗️These are BIG no’s. ❗️Add any more you think should be on the list in the comments ⬇️

So you want to become a successful UGC creator? Part 10 One of the most important things when building your #ugc business is being able to ✨ BUILD A RELATIONSHIP ✨ with your client. This way, there will be a sense of mutual trust, and they’ll keep coming back for more! ⬇️ HERE are some ways you can build a relationship with your UGC clients: ⬇️ > communicating professionally and respectfully > replying to them in a timely manner > over delivering on the deliverables (go above and beyond‼️) > being transparent and authentic > offering exclusive packages just because you loved working with them > offering new ideas that could help the business grow > following up with them to see if they would like to work together again Hope this helps, follow for more 🥰

So you want to become a successful UGC creator? Part 9 ✨Something I wish I knew starting my UGC side hustle/business: KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS - you can write them off as business expenses during tax season. I am no expert, but here are some things I wrote off: - Portion of my rent - Portion of my utilities - Any business related purchases such as tripod, ring light, etc. - Travel expenses - Portion of my internet bill - Portion of my phone bill - Any apps or subscriptions related to your business Hope this helps!✨

My opinion - it's not necessary. And if you’re planning on talking about ugc such as tips & tricks, you’ll most likely attract other creators instead of brands, which is NOT the goal. It can be great to be apart of the creator community, but you also want to be attracting brands.

I would suggest posting your work among other posts to attract a wider audience & show the multiples sides of yourself (fashion lover, loves hiking & the outdoors, has a dog, hunting for perfect kids toys, etc.) in order to attract a variety of brands that want to work with you!

So you want to become a successful UGC creator? Part 6 If you’re getting paid via Paypal make sure the brand pays the fee that Paypal takes!! I would suggest making sure it’s stated in your contract that the brand will cover the fee, or include it in your invoice you send them👍🏼
What do you UGC creators do about PayPal’s 4% processing fee? If I’m getting $1,000 payments I do not want to be paying that!

So you want to become a successful #UGC creator? Part 5 ✨ Tip of the day: Create a new email specifically for your UGC related things. This keeps things organized and makes sure emails from brands don’t get lost!

So you want to become a successful #UGC creator? Part 4 You do NOT want to be spending all your time doing outreach, so posting consistently on social media (TT, IG, Twitter) is super important in order to get inbounds! This way brands can find you and see your work 💫

So you want to become a successful #UGC creator? Part 3 I hear A LOT of creators struggle to find the correct email to use when pitching brands. Here’s what’s been working for me and hopefully will work for you too  →

I have been DMing brands on Instagram to ensure I get the best point of contact/email to reach out about a potential collaboration.

Here’s something I might say, “Hey (brand name), I’m Arden, a content creator based in _____. I was hoping you could provide me with the email of your marketing team so I could get in touch with them about a potential collaboration. Thanks so much in advance!” Hope this helps!🤍
