Mulroney loved Canada *so much* that he sent in the army to end the 1990 Mohawk resistance, defending the right of settlers to build a golf course and condos over an Indigenous cemetery. That’s how much he loved Canada aka capitalist accumulation by colonial dispossession.
Brian Mulroney loved Canada. I’m devastated to learn of his passing. He never stopped working for Canadians, and he always sought to make this country an even better place to call home. I’ll never forget the insights he shared with me over the years – he was generous, tireless, and incredibly passionate. As we mourn his passing and keep his family and friends in our thoughts, let us also acknowledge – and celebrate – Mr. Mulroney’s role in building the modern, dynamic, and prosperous country we all know today.

Bisan said “Don’t forget us” the most we can do for Palestinians. At the start of the video, she talked about other people who were forgotten by the world as colonizers erased their history. She tells us even if she dies, to remember her and all the Palestinian people suffering.
Bisan got asked “what can we do for Palestinians?” her answer was incredibly powerful watch the whole thing 1/2

What do any of you know of my Palestine? Of the late night queer parties in Ramallah? Of raves held in biblically aged buildings? Of lesbians in hijabs, of gay men in hoop earrings, of trans Palestinians dancing with joyful abandon? (1/3)

The first Palestinian person I ever met was my junior year in Germany. He was a medical student named Nimr living on the floor of my apartment building, and for weeks, he wouldn’t talk to me. At one point I asked him why he wouldn’t talk to me, and he said because I was American.

… from The Marvelous Land of Oz (the actual sequel to The Wizard of Oz in the book series) rescue the princess of Oz, then Dorothy wakes up and it was all a dream. I only saw the movie once as a kid but read the book version and looked at the pictures obsessively…

… it fuelled many childhood daydreams and imaginary adventure games but was also my first introduction to the insufferable “and then they woke up” trope 😅
